COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

The COVID-19 pandemic has witnessed a decline in global cases over the past few months, leading to a downward trend. In light of this situation, the Government of Nepal has revised the entry protocol for individuals entering the country. All previously issued notices and updates pertaining to the COVID-19 entry protocol have been rescinded.

Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated Travelers:

To enter Nepal, all fully vaccinated travelers must provide a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination certificate. The vaccination must have been administered at least 14 days prior to their travel. This requirement applies to both air and land travel. Fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from providing a negative COVID-19 test report when flying to Nepal.

Guidelines for Non-Vaccinated Travelers:

Non-vaccinated individuals or those unable to present a vaccination certificate are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test report for entry into Nepal. In such cases, passengers must undergo a COVID-19 test (RT-PCR, Gene Xpert, and True NAAT) within 72 hours before their check-in time. Furthermore, travelers with negative test results are no longer obligated to undergo any quarantine period.

Resumption of On-Arrival Visa:

On-arrival visas have resumed for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated travelers. As long as passengers provide all the necessary documents, they can obtain a Nepal visa upon arrival at either the land or air entry points.
