Nepal, which is situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) in the Mustang district. This pagoda-style temple is committed to Lord Vishnu, Where the visitors can see 108 water gushes behind this lovely sanctuary. For Hindus this place is known as Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the “place of salvation” and it is one of the most ancient temples of the God Vishnu (“The god of Nirvana”) Likewise, Buddhists of Tibet called this place Chumig Gyatsa, which implies hundreds of waters.
In the surroundings of this temple, there is a 108 stone taps, these taps carry great significance in Eastern philosophy. In Hindu astrology, there are 12 zodiacs, or Rashi, and 9 planets, or Graha, giving a total of 108 combinations. Also, there are 27 lunar mansions or Nakshatras, which are divided into 4 quarters, or Padas each giving a combination of 108 Padas in total.
The religious river Kali Gandaki is downstream from this temple Muktinath. This river is the only the sole source of the rare Shaligram stones, which are the most religious stone which is required to establish a temple of Vishnu anywhere in the world.
According to Tibetan Buddhism Muktinath(Chumig Gyatsa) is a sacred place of the Dakinis goddesses known as Sky Dancers, and also one of the 24 celebrated Tantric places. According to the Tibetan Buddhists their religious Guru Rimpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, meditated here on his way to Tibet.
Near the entrance gate of this temple, there is a gomba named as Mebar Lha Gomba, the small monastery of `miraculous fire’. This monastery, dedicated to Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) and containing a statue of the Buddhist deity Chenrezig (Avalokitesvara), is famous for its continuously burning natural gas fire, which Hindus worship as Jwala Mai, the Goddess of Fire.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from the tour company and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest and adjust to the time difference.
In the evening, you can explore the surrounding area and try some local cuisine.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara [210 Km – 7 Hours]
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Pokhara, a beautiful city located about 200 km west of Kathmandu. Along the way, you will pass through scenic landscapes, including green rice paddies, forests, and small villages.
You will arrive in Pokhara in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. You can spend the evening exploring the city and its many attractions, including the Phewa Lake, the Old Bazaar, and the International Mountain Museum.
Day 03: Pokhara to Jomsom by Jeep [150 Km – 10 Hours]
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Jomsom, a small town located in the Mustang district of Nepal.
The journey from Pokhara to Jomsom is about 150 km and takes about 10 hours by jeep. Along the way, you will pass through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Nepal, including the Kaligandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world.
You will arrive in Jomsom in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.
Day 04: Jomsom to Muktinath Darsan to Tatopani
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the village of Muktinath, located about 20 km from Jomsom. Muktinath is a sacred Hindu and Buddhist site, where pilgrims come to pay their respects to the gods and seek blessings. You will visit the main temple and participate in the puja ceremony.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to Tatopani, a small village located about 90 km from Muktinath.
You will spend the night in a guesthouse in Tatopani.
Day 05: Tatopani to Pokhara
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Pokhara, a journey that takes about 10 hours. Along the way, you will pass through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Nepal, including the Annapurna mountain range.
You will arrive in Pokhara in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. You can spend the evening exploring the city and its many attractions.
Day 06: Half-day Pokhara to Kathmandu [210 Km – 6 Hours]
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Kathmandu, a journey that takes about 6 hours. Along the way, you will pass through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Nepal, including the Annapurna mountain range.
You will arrive in Kathmandu in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.
Day 07: Full-day sightseeing at Kathmandu
On the seventh day, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting some of the city’s most famous landmarks, such as the Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, the Swayambhunath Temple, and the Boudhanath Stupa.
Day 08: Departure Day
On the final day of the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
