Best Time to Travel

One should never miss a chance to explore the spectacular landscapes of Langtang Valley. However, while planning so, you must get the idea of which season and weather fits you the best.

Generally, Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are considered the best seasons for the trek to Langtang. The clear weather promises to feast the travelers with breath-trekking views during these days. However, you can also go for a Langtang hike during the winter season only if you can defeat the cold and chilling weather.

Food and Accommodation

Langtang will mostly serve you with the varieties of Nepalese food and drinks. However, if you have an appetite for international cuisine, you will find there plenty which ranges from Tibetan and Continental to Indian and Italian.

As for the accommodation, it may be difficult to find a modernly facilitated place in the higher elevations. However, you can always share the rooms with your travel friends.

Difficulties

As Langtang trek is categorized as a moderate hike in terms of difficulty, it is often recommended to have a perfect plan before starting a journey. The major difficulty one might have to go through is the risk of altitude sickness. As you go up to the higher altitude, you come less in contact with oxygen. Besides, the patients of heart, lung or blood pressure disease are urged to consult a doctor before starting out the trek. Other than that, you can find difficulty in carrying out the trek in the monsoon season as unexpected rain can obstruct you very badly.

Important Tips to Know
